PROJECTS | WEEKEND RETREAT

In this beautiful, traditional living room/library, we built in custom cabinets around the fireplace to hold books, an integral mini bar and wine and liquor storage. An arched cabinet conceals the television. Comfortable seating in a fabric that stands up to the warm woods creates an environment that is elegant and ageless.
-
Custom cherry cabinets are suspended over a butcher block counter and capacious kitchen peninsula. The cooktop was designed to face the great room to allow the cook to enjoy the party while preparing the meal. A hand forged iron pot rack makes choices accessible.
-
In this open plan combination breakfast and family room, the beautiful view sets off a comfortable seating arrangement and gracious dining space. The antique farm table can seat 10.
-
The seating area provides a comfortable space for chatting with guests or relaxing with family.
-
A Master Bedroom takes on new focus when the closet opening is redesigned to create a balance with the window on the left, allowing the bed to become the room’s focus. Two small windows on the left wall were removed and replaced with a 10’ glass window wall, enabling a view of the 250 acres beyond. Fourteen beautiful fabrics and trims combine with antique furnishings to create an environment that is at once romantic and functional.
-
A kidney shaped dressing table encircled in a luxurious, removable silk stripe conceals 7 drawers that keep cosmetics and toiletries invisible but accessible.
-
Bordeau marble creates a feminine counterpoint to dark, masculine, custom cherry cabinetry in this luxurious master bath.
-
A tiny powder room gets a design boost via hand painted wall art created to focus the eye beyond the design to create a more expansive vista. An antique Chippendale mirror and antique brass sconces with custom shades add charm to the scene. Window treatments composed of soft striped silk Roman shades combined with sheer plaid roll shades complete the look.
